Fabulous Friday Foto: A Rainbow Seen While In the Highlands of Scotland

The abundance of rain that falls on the Highlands of Scotland does have a upside. Lots and lots of rainbows. This photo was taken while we were driving around the Highlands near Fort William. The clouds parted and the sun came out for just long enough for us to snap this photo.

A rainbow in the Highlands of Scotland

If you have never been to the Scottish Highlands, put it at the top of your list.  It is filled with one postcard worthy image after another, and is remarkably free of tourists.  This is particularly true if you rent a car and get get “off the beaten path”, away from the popular sites for tourist buses.

  2. Hi Shanna, that looks beautiful! I’ve always wanted to go to the Scottish Highlands. I’ve heard there are amazing hiking routes there: the ring of steall, the fisherfield round, the saddle route. I can’t wait to visit the country!
